Ingredients
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 2 tsp. chili powder, divided
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
- 1 lb. ground turkey
- 2 cloves garlic, pressed
- 1/2 c. Chopped cilantro
- 1/2 avocado, plus more for serving
- 2 tsp. lime juice
- 4 tbsp mayonnaise
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 toasted whole-grain sandwich thins
- Sliced tomato, for serving
- Lettuce, for serving
- Sliced onion, for serving
Recipe
- Mix ground turkey with garlic, cilantro, pepper, chili powder, and salt.
- Form into 4 patties.
- Work in batches. Air Fry at 360°F for 15 minutes or until cooked through (with internal temperature at least 165°F ), flip halfway through cook time.
- Add 1 cheese slice on each burger 1 minute before timer stops to melt the cheese.
- Mash avocado with lime juice.
- Spread mayonnaise on the inside of the thin whole grain sandwich thins about 1 tbsp for each burger.
- Place burgers on whole-grain sandwich thins; top with avocado and tomato, onion, and lettuce.
